Modern datasets are essential for understanding the world, combining terrestrial data from governments and NGOs with satellite-derived products. This ecosystem supports the European vision of Common Data Spaces, emphasizing accessibility, reusability, and adherence to FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). While terrestrial data has advanced in FAIR compliance, satellite-derived products lag due to challenges in metadata, data access, standardized formats, and usability tools.
We are excited to announce our session “Trusted tools and technologies to progress in the creation of digital infrastructures for data exchange,” at the EGU General Assembly, which will take place in Vienna and online from 27 April to 2 May 2025.
This session, led by four European projects (AD4GD, USAGE, FAIRiCUBE, BCUBED), will showcase international initiatives improving data FAIRness and guiding European Data Spaces to support policy and societal needs in addressing future challenges.
