As we approach the end of September, the FAIRiCUBE project officially draws to a close and in October, we will undergo our final project review. Over the past years, we’ve worked together to explore how cubes of complex data can be transformed into actionable, FAIR resources that support science, industry, and society. But while the project itself concludes this month, our work is not quite finished. Even as FAIRiCUBE wraps up, the resources developed during the project will remain available to the community.
Looking Ahead: FAIRiCUBE Outputs Still Accessible
- FAIRiCUBE Hub The central entry point to FAIRiCUBE tools, demonstrators, and datasets. The Hub offers interactive access to project resources, allowing users to explore use cases, experiment with data cubes, and connect with the wider FAIR data community. It is designed to stay online as a practical gateway for putting FAIR principles into action.
- FAIRiCUBE Digital Library A comprehensive collection of documentation, guidelines, and tutorials designed to help integrate FAIR data principles into research, business, and policy applications. From technical instructions to best practices, the Knowledge Base will remain a go-to reference for anyone looking to build FAIR-compliant workflows.
- Use Case Contributions FAIRiCUBE’s use cases — spanning topics like biodiversity, agriculture, climate, and urban studies — have been central in demonstrating how FAIR data principles can be applied in real-world contexts. Each use case has contributed datasets, models, and lessons learned, many of which are documented in the Knowledge Base and accessible via GitHub. These examples serve as practical demonstrations of how FAIR approaches add value across domains.
- Data and Models on GitHub Many of the models, workflows, and tools developed during FAIRiCUBE have been published openly on GitHub. These repositories provide practical building blocks for researchers and developers to adapt and reuse. They also showcase the technical underpinnings of the project — from machine learning pipelines to data cube processing scripts — ensuring transparency and reproducibility.
- Zenodo: FAIRiCUBE project deliverables remain accessible for download directly from our website! They are hosted on Zenodo, an open-access repository which provides a seamless, user-friendly platform for downloading and sharing our work. The deliverables are easily accessible and freely available to the public, promoting transparency and collaboration in environmental research and data science.
By keeping these resources accessible, FAIRiCUBE’s results will continue to live on — supporting innovation, collaboration, and the adoption of FAIR data practices
