On 13 and 14 October 2022 the FAIRiCUBE technical kick-off meeting took place in Vienna. The meeting aimed at sharpening the objectives and work plan of the use cases. These Use cases include: Spatial and temporal assessment of neighbourhood building stock, Biodiversity occurrence cubes, Biodiversity and agriculture nexus and Urban adaptation to climate change. During the kickoff meeting the use case leaders shared the first ideas and plans on the use case and gathered feedback from the consortium. In their presentations they gave background information on the use case, the problem that it aims to solve and the expected results. Additionally, they specified the stakeholders types that are expected to benefit from the use case and the activities that they are aiming to disseminate the results.
Besides the Use Case presentations, other topics were covered. Information was exchanged on the datacube platforms of EOX and Rasdaman and arrangements were made for the data ingestion into the data cubes. Furthermore data needs were discussed and arrangements on metadata were made.
It was an interesting and fruitful meeting that took place in the very stimulating and beautiful environment of the Natural History Museum Vienna.
